{ REVIEW } Silikids Bib

I am always looking for new items to try out for my daughter. Whether it be toys, clothes or essentials! When I was contacted by Silikids to test out one of their bibs I was so excited!

I was sent the the lime silikids bib and I love it! I love how it's so easy to clean & the fact you can just toss it into the dishwasher along with your dirty dishes and get it all cleaned at once! Plus, as it states, it does lay flat on my daughters chest so it's not like a big lump or some funny shape around her neck! The bib is also adjustable so it can fit a new learner or your messy big toddler!

clean Silicone is non-toxic and hypo allergenic. Silicone has few open pores, so it does not harbor
or promote bacteria or fungus growth. Because of its high heat resistance, silicone can be boiled to
sterilize, is dishwasher safe, and washer and dryer safe. Silicone does not fade or retain odor, and is
sturdy and easy to clean.

BPA-free Due to recent concerns regarding BPA, many parents are switching to BPA Free
children’s products. Silicone offers just that solution. Silicone does not contain toxic chemicals like
bisphenol-A, lead, PVC and phthalates.

safe Silicone is basically made up of silicon, a natural element present in sand, quartz and rock,
which, after oxygen, is the most abundant element on earth. Silicon is transformed into silicone when
combined with oxygen, carbon and hydrogen. Because it is an inert material, it does not react with
food or beverages, or produce any hazardous fumes. It’s non-toxic, hypo allergenic, does not promote
bacteria or fungus growth, and it does not transmit taste to food.

green Silicone does not decompose but it is recyclable - although probably not through your
city-wide recycling program. There are many specialty recycling facilities that recycle silicone. (Send your Silikids products back to us and we’ll recycle it for you!) Silicone is very durable so you won’t have to worry about disposal for a long time, thus promoting reuse and less waste.

hypo allergenic Silicone is also hypo allergenic. It’s inert so it doesn’t react to any other
materials and it is stable so it doesn’t disintegrate or react when sitting beside something else.

It began in 2006 as a labor of love for two friends and mothers. With growing concerns
about toxic materials in children’s products, Silikids was born; a children’s accessory
company dedicated to making safe, clean and hygienic products out of SILICONE.
As mothers, they noticed that many products for babies were already made of silicone;
bottle nipples, pacifiers, etc. Research confirmed that silicone was indeed a magnificent
material for children due to its non-porous nature, where no bacteria could hide;
its high resistance to temperatures making it easy to boil and sterilize, and its
soft, pliable quality lends itself to multiple uses.

In caring for the planet, a very conscious effort is made to produce products that last

and promote reuse. Packaging is minimal, and silicone can be recycled at specific recycling
centers. Send your Silikids products back to us and we’ll have it recycled for you!
