The Scambook community has struck again. A national class action was recently filed against Stonebridge Benefit Services and its business partner, J.C. Penny. The class action complaint alleges that Stonebridge enrolled consumers in negative option memberships without their permission and charged them on a monthly basis. The complaint additionally alleges that many consumers were enrolled in the membership clubs as a result of making a purchase from J.C. Penny, either online or over the phone.
