Kid Chef Could Win $25,000 in Sandwich Contest

The Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest is in its last month of accepting entries. Through October 22 children ages 6-12 can enter their recipes for the chance to win a $25,000 scholarship fund. I hope that you will share this opportunity with your readers!

  • Parents only need a jar of Jif peanut butter to help their kids get a jump start on the new school year and develop the ultimate recipe for success. Families can foster creativity in their children and begin saving money for college by entering at www.Jif.com.  One grand prize winner will be selected at a live judging event in New York City and earn a $25,000 scholarship fund, and four runners up will each receive $2,500 scholarship funds.  Sandwiches will be judged on the following criteria: creativity, taste, appearance, nutritional balance and ease of preparation.
This past year’s Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich Contest winner was Rachel Granillo, 10, of Clovis, CA, who created a sweet and savory dish, called PB & Fruity says “Let Us Rap.”  Her sandwich paired the peanutty taste of Jif Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter with apples, grapes and chicken combined in a lettuce wrap.  (Recipe available)
